WOW THIS IS GOOD: New Atlanta falcons top QB signed and agree for a bigger contract worth 998.78 million dors…..
Still in the hunt for a defensive coordinator, the Atlanta Falcons have another intriguing prospect in the interview process.
With Raheem Morris at the helm, the Atlanta Falcons appear to be moving on to the search for a new defensive coordinator.
The latest candidate to interview for the position with the Falcons is Sean Desai, a former defensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
After Jonathan Gannon departed to join the Arizona Cardinals as head coach last offseason, Desai, who is 40 years old, had only one season with the Eagles. It would be an understatement to claim that Desai had a difficult season.
After losing key players in the summer, the Eagles’ defense took a huge step backwards this year. It was easy to overlook the defense’s flaws as Philadelphia got off to a perfect start.
The Eagles’ fortunes started to plummet, though, following two consecutive humiliating losses at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys. In the aftermath, Desai lost his position as play-caller and assistant defensive coordinator Matt Patricia was elevated to that position by the Eagles. It was inevitable that the decision would have a terrible impact, as Philadelphia’s fortunes continued to decline and they were ultimately defeated in the Wild Card Round.
The Eagles’ defense had a significant drop from the previous season, finishing 26th in yards allowed and 30th in points allowed.
