The ever-wise In the article above, Baggarly continued to hold out hope for Ramos. He had youth on his side. His swing needed adjustments, not a complete makeover. The cymbal clanging seemed less substantial than the rapid cut and steady firm touch. A future with the club was bleak, though, and there was little question that the connection had soured. After Jung Hoo Lee was signed last December, he had definitely fallen somewhat from my radar. There was absolutely no Ramos-related news or hoopla during the offseason. He wasn't even a condiment when the outfield sandwich was put together. This chilly winter (non)narrative persisted into the spring, when Ramos and a few others were optioned in early March. Few people noticed the move. Even though he had less than 100 PA, his poor batting average and sub-.500 OPS at the Major League level, along with his recent success in Triple-A, meant that his past transgressions weighed him down like the ghosts of Marley in Dickens's I mean, Henson's A Muppet Christmas Carol. The excitement and hype that had greeted Ramos's arrival two years earlier had vanished. A long time has gone by. Ramos's hair would match the gray of the usual visiting dudes as he grew older in a River Cats uniform.…
Detroit Lions top edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson is still producing excellent work while being sidelined with a serious leg injury. While he heals from the broken tibia and fibula he suffered in Week 6's victory against the Dallas Cowboys, Hutchinson will miss a significant amount of time of action. InHutchinson paid an unexpected visit to a 20-year-old ex-Marine who was paralyzed from the neck down after suffering a spinal cord injury at boot camp last week. The young man is still recovering from his injury. The good news is that the young man is now feeling much better and has fully recovered. In addition to paying the ex-Marine a house call, Hutchinson presented him with an Amon-Ra St. Brown jersey, tickets to the Lions' Thanksgiving Day game versus the Bears, and other gifts. Latest news on Aidan Hutchinson's injuries Following his injury, there is hope that Hutchinson can recover in time to play in the Super Bowl, should the Lions advance that far in the season. That's what a lot of sources have said, and not even head coach Dan Campbell denies it. "I would say if anybody can make it back it would be him," he added. The Super Bowl is scheduled to take place just before the fourth month mark, therefore it will be a very close race between the four to six months that the Lions star was allotted to heal. Regardless, Hutchinson's recent sighting walking unsupported by crutches indicates that he is making further progress in his rehabilitation.
