During the third week of the season, the Detroit Lions will once again look to their practice squad for assistance at wide receiver. One of the guys who will be upgraded to the starting lineup will be making his first appearance with the football club.

According to a statement released by the Lions on Saturday, wide receivers Tim Patrick and Allen Robinson will be promoted to higher positions. Following the conclusion of the game, both players will return to the practice squad because they are considered to be normal elevations.

Last week, Patrick made his debut, and he was successful in catching two passes on four targets for a total of twelve yards. However, this will be Robinson’s first game wearing a Lions uniform, as he did not participate in either of the two games that came before this one. Rather than that, the Lions had increased Tom Kennedy’s status.

Immediately following his release from the New York Giants, Robinson was signed to the practice squad of the Detroit Lions. As a result of the fact that he has not accumulated more than 410 yards in a single season since 2021, the 31-year-old has experienced a significant drop in recent years.

There are still just four wide receivers on Detroit’s 53-man roster, and one of them, rookie Isaiah Williams, has not participated in either of the first two games due to an injury. Williams’s availability for Week 3 is uncertain.

In the third week of the season, the Lions will participate in a game against the Arizona Cardinals at State Farm Stadium. The game will begin at 4:25 p.m. Eastern Time.
