The picture that was published in the Bild newspaper showed Oliver Mintzlaff, the new sports CEO of the energy drink firm, having dinner with Chalerm Yoovidhya, a shareholder from Thailand, a lawyer for Red Bull, as well as Christian Horner and Dr. Helmut Marko. In an interview with Bild, Mintzlaff stated that the team is working together towards a same objective, which is to achieve the highest possible level of achievement.

Just a few hours earlier, the Dutch media reported that the contract that Marko, the team advisor, had with Red Bull had been modified in order to untie it from Verstappen’s presence at the team. This was done at Mintzlaff’s request. As a result, Verstappen is now obligated to remain under the terms of his existing contract with Red Bull until the year 2028. This would be a disappointing development for Toto Wolff, who is a candidate for the position of Mercedes chief.

Wolff stated to Sky Deutschland that he was unable to provide more specific information regarding the contents of that clause since he had not seen it. The fact that a driver wants to remain a part of a team and drive for members of that squad is the most crucial factor.

That is the determining factor in that. There were allegations that the contract clause had been removed, but Marko refuted them. That assertion is not accurate, the Austrian stated. Nevertheless, we do not wish to discuss this matter in public. The situation does not have any direct repercussions for Max Verstappen.

Ralf Schumacher, a former Formula One driver who is now a television pundit in Germany, is not entirely certain that the power struggle at Red Bull has currently come to an end. He stated that although there is a line under it, we are able to see the feelings that are being expressed.
