According to John Lloyd, a Wimbledon BBC personality, Novak Djokovic’s massive rage on Monday was caused by his annoyance with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. Even in his most recent encounter at SW19, when he defeated Holger Rune in the round of 16, the Serbian Djokovic was booed since he has never been loved or appreciated to the same extent as the other two Big Three tennis greats.

As he swore vehemently at the Centre Court spectators, the seven-time Wimbledon winner accused them of disrespect and insisted they “can’t touch” him. After being quizzed about the event nonstop for 98 seconds, Djokovic abruptly ended a really uncomfortable interview with the BBC. Lloyd discussed the 24-time Grand Slam winner’s public breakdown in his thoughts prior to Djokovic’s quarterfinal match over Alex de Minaur. Lloyd, a former professional tennis player from the United Kingdom, has been a tennis analyst and pundit for BBC tennis coverage, mainly at Wimbledon, since the 1990s.

Lloyd made the observation that Djokovic may harbour some resentment towards his opponents, specifically Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, who were highly regarded on the court. After defeating Holger Rune of Denmark, Serbia’s Novak Djokovic acknowledges the audience on Centre Court.
At times, Novak is simply not as well-liked as those two, and he unleashed an irate tirade on the Wimbledon audience (Picture: Getty). Who, then, could it be? I also think there are moments when he becomes little irritated by it, and the audience takes it personally when it really isn’t.

However, John McEnroe has asked the Wimbledon spectators to treat Djokovic with greater dignity, despite the fact that he is the tennis equivalent of Darth Vader.
