Reports: Sherrone Moore displays courageous approach by taking risk to strenghten Wolverines roster via a blockbuster trade…..[Details in post]
A 141-year-old boot and clothing manufacturer with its headquarters in Michigan, Wolverine, has renewed and expanded its National Independent League (NIL) relationship with the team that is now defending their title as College Football Playoff National Champions.
This week, the company made the announcement that their 2024 National Invitational League roster will comprise football players from the state of Michigan, as well as experts in skilled trades and high school kids from the surrounding area who are pursuing education in the trades.
This new effort aims to stress the fact that blue collar is not a line of work but rather a mindset that ought to be cherished. According to Wolverine, the blue-collar concept of Michigan, which is ranked tenth, is similar to the work ethic that is followed by skilled trades professions that involve hands-on work.
A number of Michigan football players, including Donovan Edwards, Mason Graham, Max Bredeson, Colston Loveland, Will Johnson, Alex Orji, Benjamin Hall, and Blake Frazier, are featured in Wolverine’s “Blue-Collar Crew.”
In conjunction with the unveiling of the Blue-Collar Crew, Wolverine has introduced a new collection of boots and apparel that are inspired by the state of Michigan.
A percentage of the proceeds from the sales will be donated to student-athletes through the brand’s ongoing connection with the school’s National Intercollegiate Athletics (NIL) collection, Champions Circle. Overman Hooded Canvas Shirt-Jacket, Bucksaw Hooded Flannel Shirt, Floorhand Moc Toe Work Boot, and Team #144 Commemorative 1000 Mile Boot are some of the items that are included in the new collection.
According to Scott Schoessel, Chief Marketing Officer of Wolverine Boots, “The trades workers who keep our country moving day after day deserve to be in the spotlight as much as the collegiate athletes we cheer on every weekend.” Trades workers are responsible for keeping our country moving.
The tenacity and toughness of collegiate football players who are able to get the job done on the gridiron is something that we, as a culture, admire. However, we frequently ignore others who are putting in the same kind of effort and perseverance in their professional lives. No matter what line of work you’re in, we want to demonstrate that being a blue collar worker is a badass.
Saturday is the game of the week, and ESPN College Gameday will be in Ann Arbor to cover it. The game will be between Michigan and Texas, which is ranked third.
