On Saturday afternoon, the South Carolina Gamecocks will play the Akron Zips in another football game of the season that is not part of the Power-5 conference.

The game will take place inside Williams-Brice stadium. The Gamecocks football team has had six consecutive games in the Southeastern Conference. It is a football team that is relatively in disrepair after suffering a heartbreaking defeat at the hands of the LSU Tigers at home. Which includes their most talented quarterback.

Ankle-based quarterback LaNorris Sellers – On Tuesday, Shane Beamer shared with the media that Sellers had given him the assurance that he will be ready to play against Akron this coming Saturday. “We told Robby and Davis (Beville) they’ll continue to compete this week and LaNorris assures me he’s good and will be ready to roll”

During the game against LSU, South Carolina defensive end TJ Sanders and wide receiver Jared Brown both suffered injuries. However, according to Beamer, it is possible that all of them will be back on the field on Saturday.

“Everybody did a little bit today to a certain degree and I think they’ll all be able to do a degree more tomorrow and then we’ll see as we get closer to Saturday from a health standpoint where we are.”
