Thursday was the day when the Dallas Mavericks made the announcement that they had officially signed forward Kessler Edwards to a two-way contract.

At the end of July, Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium was the first to disclose that the signing was going to take place. Over the course of the previous season, Edwards, who stands at a height of 6-foot-7, participated in 54 games for the Sacramento Kings and averaged 1.7 points and 5.1 minutes per game.

With the Kings and the Brooklyn Nets, who selected Edwards with the 44th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, he has played 138 games throughout the course of his career and has averaged 3.5 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 11.9 minutes per game.
