Reports: Fans in celebration as Bears reunites and brings back former top star in a blockbuster move….[Details in Post]
As the 2024 NFL season comes to a close, the Chicago Bears will face a number of decisions.
Despite having a wealth of skill, Chicago will struggle to hold on to everyone. The 2024 NFL season is well underway, and the offseason isn’t far behind either.
When it arrives, the Bears will almost certainly make a lot of roster moves, and starting lineman Teven Jenkins is one player who may find himself playing for a different team. According to Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report, he is the 24th most valuable free agent this offseason, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are among the teams who have expressed interest in him.
“Bears guard Teven Jenkins would rank higher on our list if not for injuries,” he added. He has a career total of 13 games played and has only reached 700 offensive snaps once. However, when healthy, he has been an excellent starter for the Bears. The 26-year-old, who was drafted in 2021 as a tackle, has now become a guard and is a solid run blocker (though he’s not quite as dependable when it comes to pass protection).
An offensive line infusion would be a huge help to the Patriots as they begin their rebuilding process. According to Bleacher Report Scouting Department’s Matt Holder, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are also in need of a guard. In his post, he mentioned that Ben Bredeson will be a free agent this summer and hadn’t been performing well this season. According to Bucs general manager Jason Licht, the team may want to add a left guard during the upcoming spring free agency. Jenkins, injury worries aside, Tampa would be a great place for him to play.
The Bears’ starting quarterback might play for the Buccaneers once the season ends. It’s still too soon to tell.
