Talk about Daniel Jones joining the Minnesota Vikings is becoming louder.
Where is Daniel Jones going to sign? That is the most talked-about topic among NFL insiders and their sources right now, particularly those who have connections to the former New York Giants quarterback and/or are inside the companies that Jones’s representation is corresponding with, such as the Minnesota Vikings.
After the Giants waived Jones last week, rumors linking him to Minnesota started to circulate almost immediately. The Vikings were the front-runner for Jones’ services, according to later reports. Kevin O’Connell just fueled the Vikings + Daniel Jones fire during his Monday meeting with local media.
Daniel Jones’ decision is imminent, and the Minnesota Vikings are generating a lot of noise.
During his visit on the Power Trip Morning Show (KFAN Radio) on Tuesday morning, “one of us,” Tom Pelissero (NFL Network), informed the morning crew that Jones is anticipated to announce his decision today.
Later Tuesday morning, during a regularly scheduled Scoop session on Mackey & Judd (SKOR North), Darren Wolfson (KSTP) reported that the Minnesota Vikings had gotten in touch with Daniel Jones, who has a few suitors, including the Detroit Lions, Buffalo Bills, and Baltimore Ravens.
“I was informed that last night, at least one Vikings official spoke with Daniel Jones. Over the weekend, it was revealed that the Vikings are a possibility. The Ravens are a contender. I was informed that the Lions had called.
Daniel Jones is being pursued by six or seven teams. One of those teams is the Vikings. Remember, his representation at Athletes First has a great relationship with the Vikings. The Vikings also enjoy a pleasant relationship with Kyle Rudolph, who was a teammate of Daniel Jones while he was with the New York Giants.
They are connected to that agency. Just a few things to consider. The Vikings are involved, you know. It should not be long until we have some closure on this. The Vikings genuinely want Daniel Jones, but that doesn’t mean he’s coming here.

Naturally, we will all be left in the dark about what is true and what isn’t until someone like Ian Rapoport or Adam Schefter reports it. However, there is no question that the Minnesota Vikings have a very excellent chance of acquiring Daniel Jones. And if they do, it will probably happen on Tuesday. We’ll have the update on MinnesotaSportsFan.com as soon as he does.
Jones amassed 2,070 yards on 216-of-341 (63.3%) passing in 10 games with the Giants this season, along with 8 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. The former Duke Blue Devil won’t be Sam Darnold’s quarterback if he signs. But he would be a fantastic insurance policy for the Vikings’ quarterback position, both now and into the road.
Jones has passed for 14,582 yards, 70 touchdowns, and 47 interceptions (64.1 cmp%) in his six NFL seasons. In 2022, he passed for 3,205 yards, 15 touchdowns, and five interceptions, which was his greatest season. Despite battling injuries last season, Daniel Jones managed to record 909 yards, just two touchdowns, and six interceptions.
