Players Quandre Diggs (defensive back) and Lloyd Cushenberry III (starting center) have been placed on injured reserve, therefore ending their seasons with the club.

In Week 9, as the team was winning against the New England Patriots, Cushenberry (Achilles) and Diggs (foot) both hurt themselves. The victory helped the team get back on track, but it was detrimental to their health.

The addition of safety Mike Edwards from the Buffalo Bills provides the team with an immediate replacement for Diggs, who is leaving the team. After passing the Titans’ physical, Edwards will be free to participate in team practices and may get his first taste of game action this week against the Chargers.

The decision on who will succeed Cushenberry has been made: Corey Levin or Daniel Brunskill. Against the Patriots, Levin came in for him when he wounded himself. But Brunskill is the team’s favorite for that position. At right guard, he was stepping in for Dillon Radunz, who was out with an injury. When Radunz returns to the field, Brunskill will likely move into the center field position.
