Bleacher Report’s Alex Ballentine projected Brown will join with the Las Vegas Raiders to assist whoever the new quarterback would be, while forecasting changes for every team to meet their needs.

“Marquise Brown is probably under-the-radar free agent next season,” Ballentine said. “He has shown himself as a strong second choice for an attack. With a sternoclavicular ailment, he has missed the full season thus far; but, he could comeback before the conclusion of the season. He will have the last run of games and the postseason to land a fresh deal. Should he do that, he would be a strong deep danger to whichever Raiders’ quarterback would be next season.

Brown began his career with the Baltimore Ravens and finished with a 1,000-yard season. He then spent 26 games with 1,283 yards playing with the Arizona Cardinals. The Chiefs signed him expecting him to be a serious threat for their attack. They also selected first round NFL Draft speedster Xavier Worthy.

Before his injury, Rashee Rice was starting the Chiefs brilliantly. The Chiefs wide receiver room has not been able to generate at a high level, though, even though De Andre Hopkins is dealing for. Brown’s comeback from injury might provide them a boost, but nonetheless they have to deal with the offseason post-performance. Losing Brown would cause them to lag far deeper behind the eight ball.

Brown racked up 28 career touchdowns. Should he come back and perform well, he may find a new home in free agency rather easy.
