Daniel Jones is apparently nearing decision day, and the former quarterback for the New York Giants reportedly spoke with the Minnesota Vikings recently. The Vikings are one of the teams the 27-year-old is reportedly considering joining.

“At least one team official had a conversation with Daniel Jones last night,” Darren Wolfson of KSTP-TV stated on The Mackey & Judd Show on SKOR North on Tuesday. “Over the weekend, it was revealed that the Vikings and Ravens are also in the running. I was informed that the Lions had called. Daniel Jones is being pursued by six or seven teams. One of those teams is the Vikings.

“Remember that the Vikings and his representation at Athletes First have a great working relationship. Along with Kyle Rudolph, the Vikings have a pleasant agency connection because they are pals with Daniel Jones, a former Giants teammate. Just a few things to consider. In the mix are the Vikings. It should not be long until we have some closure on this. The Vikings really want Daniel Jones, but it doesn’t mean he’s coming here.

Hall of Fame columnist Peter King believes Jones would rather join the Ravens.

On SiriusXM NFL Radio on Tuesday, King stated, “I believe Daniel Jones would prefer to go to the Baltimore Ravens.” If I were him, I might decide that traveling to Minnesota would be a better option because Sam Darnold appears to be limping a little. He may get to play a game or two eventually.
