Just In: Green Bay Packers have just announced that Jordan Love will……Read More
Quarterback Jordan Love of the Green Bay Packers returned to practice twelve days after injuring his left knee in the season opener, raising the prospect that he could play against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
Despite early concerns that Love could miss up to a month due to a strained MCL, he has only missed one game—Sunday’s victory against the Indianapolis Colts—in which Malik Willis began at quarterback.
Officially, Love was only allowed to participate in limited practice on Wednesday because to the protective brace covering nearly his entire leg. Coach Matt LaFleur was evasive when asked whether Love participated in a certain number of drills or if he participated in every drill.

Love must be mobile enough to avoid injury and still obtain medical permission to play on Sunday.
“The trainers are seeing everything I’m doing and they’re not gonna put me out there unless they feel confident that I can protect myself,” he stated. “But at the same time, that’s why it’s good to get some practice reps in and get that feel of what it’s like again.”
Love realized that it’s impossible to put every possible scenario into practice.
“There’s just nothing like when it’s live bullets, you’re in the game and that rush is real,” he said, “so there’s a lot of things I might not experience before I get back in the game.”
“You can see that he feels more comfortable just moving around the building, the way he was out there today,” added Willis. If Love plays, I wouldn’t be shocked. I need to remain prepared, pay attention to the things I can influence, and then let him and Coach LaFleur handle the rest.
On the other hand, LaFleur is responsible for making sure Willis gets enough practice reps to use more plays from the playbook than in Sunday’s victory over the Colts, when the Packers threw for 14 yards and ran for 53.
“That’s always a challenge, and so throughout the course of the week, hopefully you get a better indication and that kind of leads to some of the decisions you have to make,” LaFleur said of getting two quarterbacks ready.
After being dealt by the Titans to the Packers for a seventh-round pick on August 26, Willis isn’t viewing Sunday’s game as a vengeance game. The Tennessee Volunteers’ 2022 third-round pick appeared in all three games, but he went 1-2.
“No, I couldn’t care less, dude,” Willis pronounced. During my entire stay, I believe I was paid. I am incredibly grateful for the chances that have come my way. I don’t care if those guys are in the league or not—they got me in. They did a fantastic job representing me, and that group blasted me down.
