There is no doubt that Los Angeles is one of the top teams in baseball, and there is a good chance that they will win the World Series this coming fall. In spite of this reality, there are still uncertainty regarding the shortstop position. As a result of this, Robert Murray of FanSided touted the Dodgers as a potential contender to sign Willy Adames, a great shortstop for the Milwaukee Brewers.

“The Los Angeles Dodgers have long been speculated as a potential fit for Adames,” Murray stated in his interview. After all, Adames and Andrew Friedman know each other from their time together playing for the Tampa Bay Rays. This is a relationship that exists between them. Adames has been the subject of trade interest from the Dodgers over the past few years. During the offseason, the Dodgers are in need of a shortstop, which is a fortunate coincidence.

“The cost of signing Adames is going to be rather high, possibly reaching up to two hundred million dollars. The Los Angeles Dodgers, on the other hand, are the only team that has demonstrated that it is willing to spend money in order to get outstanding players.

Consider the fact that during the offseason that just ended, the Dodgers acquired players such as Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Tyler Glasnow, Teoscar Hernandez, and others to their roster, which already included players such as Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman, amongst individuals.

Although the addition of Adames would further increase the salary to record heights, it would also ensure that the shortstop position would be held for the long term and further improve the Dodgers’ chances of winning the World Series.

It is not the first time that Adames has been linked to the Dodgers, and it is not going to be the final time that this happens. It is highly probable that he will be the best shortstop available, and he will also be among the finest offensive players that will be available this year in free agency.

A boost is something that Los Angeles could use, and Adames looks like the most reasonable choice to make.
