Just in: Derek Carr Re-Signs Saints, Commits to Finish Career in New Orleans…See more
EAST RUTHERFORD – According to several sources, Saints quarterback Derek Carr’s anxiety stems from a fracture in his left hand—non-throwing. A league source also has informed Saints News Network the same. Nick Underhill of New Orleans Football saw that Carr left carrying a cast on his hand.
Carr left the game in the fourth quarter after running a Taysom Hill sort of run play to the right and picked up a nice amount of yards, but then went up in the air and dove for more yards and landed awkwardly out of bounds close to the Saints sidelines. Clearly worried were trainers as well as several others.
Inside the Saints’ Dramatic Week 14 Win Over the Giants: Important Notes and Lessons
Carr spent some time in the medical tent before leaving with a convoy headed toward the Saints locker room. He was also checked for a concussion; more X-rays and imaging will be conducted. Monday will bring more information; but, it seems New Orleans will rely on Jake Haener or Spencer Rattler for their game against the Commanders next Sunday.
