The Cowboys won three Super Bowls with the six-time Pro Bowler, and he hasn’t slowed down since. On Monday Night Football, Aikman and Joe Buck have been the longest-tenured announcer team in NFL history, and they are both beloved by NFL fans.

In his spare time, Aikman is a kind humanitarian and, in 2022, he debuted his light beer brand, Eight. His most recent endeavor is Texas country music.

The official music video for “Friday Night,” a track by singer-songwriter Wade Bowen featuring Aikman, premiered today.

San Antonio Cowboys Wade Bowen and Cameron Gott’s “Troy Aikman on Friday Night” According to Aikman, who is a huge lover of Wade’s music, Aikman had no qualms about agreeing to be in his ‘Friday Night’ music video, as she informed Bri Amaranthus of SI, a Dallas Cowboys writer.

It’s a fantastic song, and listening to it reminds me of my high school football days in Henryetta, Oklahoma.

Across the nation, Friday night football is a way of life, and Wade’s song is a hymn for those nights spent under the lights. On Friday nights, the 5,600 residents of Aikman’s hometown of Henryetta gather to cheer on the Henryetta High School Knights.

While at Henryetta, Aikman was an All-State performer on the football and baseball teams. The video, which takes its cues from the hit TV show “Friday Night Lights,” follows a high school football player and the girl he’s in love with in an episodic fashion.

Aikman appears as the football announcer at the start of the film, and Wade’s former coach makes an appearance towards the conclusion, evoking a sentimental image that transports Wade to his high school days.

Wade Bowen’s Friday Night Features Dallas Cowboys Troy Aikman / Bowen and Aikman are close friends. Being a lifelong Texan, Bowen loves rooting for his alma mater’s sports teams, the Texas Tech Red Raiders, and the Dallas Cowboys.

“I feel incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to know Troy and to be his friend,” Bowen expressed. He’s a fantastic human being who shares my enthusiasm for music; therefore, it is my greatest wish to have him sing and appear in this music video. “Friday Night” brought back a flood of memories from my youth, specifically from my time spent playing football in high school.

Released in May of this year, “Friday Night (Ft. Troy Aikman)” is the most recent single from Bowen’s tenth studio album, Flyin. In case any Texans are interested, Bowen has a full schedule of upcoming concerts scheduled.

Perhaps even an appearance by Aikman is possible. In Week 2 of the NFL season, Aikman will be in attendance for Monday night’s game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Atlanta Falcons.

When the Dallas Cowboys play the Houston Texans on Monday, November 18th, Aikman will be the voice on the field.
