After the end of Week 11 of the college football season, the College Football Playoff Picture appears to be more uncertain than it has ever been before. This makes it the most uncertain it has ever been.
The reason for this is that the dust has fallen on yet another hectic slate of games, which has caused this situation. The most recent update to the CFP Rankings has provided some clarity to the playoff picture moving forward. This is due to the fact that two teams that were placed in the top four fell this weekend, as well as a handful of other teams having spectacular endings.
This past Saturday, the Georgia Bulldogs suffered their second setback of the 2024 season when they were upset by the Ole Miss Rebels as they were currently playing away from home. Unfortunately, the Bulldogs were unable to continue in the competition.
This loss, which was the first time since November of the 2020 football season that the Bulldogs had suffered a loss at the hands of a club that was not named Alabama, would definitely result in the Bulldogs falling in tonight’s rankings. This defeat was the first time that the Bulldogs had lost to a team that was not named Alabama.
This coming Saturday, the Bulldogs will resume their regular season for the 2024 season. They will be returning to Athens to play host to the Tennessee Volunteers, and they will be doing so as they make their journey again. Aside from the fact that this will be the first night game of the Bulldogs’ home slate, it will also be the first home game that the Dawgs have played at their own stadium in almost an entire month.
