Philp is scheduled to travel to Calgary on Wednesday to be a part of the Condors’ team that will be competing against the Wranglers in the second half of a back-to-back series. After McDavid suffered an ankle injury nine days ago, the Oilers decided to bring him back into the lineup along with Drake Caggiula. However, the captain of the Oilers is expected to make his comeback to the lineup tonight.

Caggiula was sent down to the American Hockey League on Tuesday, which enabled the Oilers to discontinue using their long-term inactive roster (LTIR) pool and start accumulating cap space once more. Additionally, Philp’s assignment will result in his money being removed from the books.

In his first three games in the National Hockey League, the latter performed admirably, collecting an assist early in his first game and taking four shots on goal throughout all three of those games. He had an outstanding training camp with the Oilers, and he was one of the players that was assigned to the team’s American Hockey League affiliate at the very end of the process. As of this point in the season, Philp has appeared in six games for the Condors, during which he has scored two goals and accumulated three points.

Roby Jarventie, James Hamblin, and Lane Pederson are just some of the players who have been injured for Bakersfield, which has been struggling with a number of ailments. Earlier this week, the Condors signed Brayden Tracey, a former first-round pick, to a professional tryout. Meanwhile, the Philps will add some more depth to their forward ranks by signing Tracey.

This evening, Ronnie Attard, who was acquired by the Edmonton Oilers from the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday, will make his debut with the Calgary Condors. During the trade of defensemen, Ben Gleason was sent in the opposite direction. This allowed the Condors to break through a stalemate of left-handed defensemen and bring their roster count down below the AHL experienced lineup restriction.
