ESPN Reports: Buffalo Sabres have just brought back another dominant NHL player from overseas for their bench in a blockbuster deal worth…..
When Tage Thompson completely dominated Auston Matthews in the game between the Maple Leafs and the Sabres that took place last night, Morgan Reilly was not going to let it go and quickly began to seek retribution.
In their game against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Friday night, the Buffalo Sabres were looking to put an end to their 11-game losing run. On account of the fact that the night did not go their way, the Sabres are currently on a run of twelve games, which is unpleasant for them.
The Sabres were down by a score of 2-0 and had a goal disallowed during the first period of play. In addition to that, they were on the losing side of a brawl, which was really insulting.
Tage Thompson delivered a powerful blow to Auston Matthews, the captain of the Maple Leafs, while they were at center ice. He did this in an effort to invigorate Buffalo’s team toward the end of the first period.
However, the defenceman for the Leafs, Morgan Rielly, was not having it. Immediately, he attacked the gigantic 6’6″ Rage Thompson, and in order to save his comrade, he dropped the gloves. Morgan Rielly stood his ground and prevailed over Thompson in the fight, despite the fact that he was significantly larger than Thompson.
The courageous action was not ignored, as Auston Matthews presented Rielly with a sincere thank you as he was making his way to the penalty box. Matthews expressed his appreciation for the show of support that Rielly had shown.
Reilly has shown what a wonderful example of team togetherness he can be! As a result of the injury sustained by Anthony Stolarz, the goaltender for the Maple Leafs, Matt Murray, made his debut for the team. Murray was brought up from the American Hockey League Marlies.
Despite the fact that there are a few goals that Matt Murray would undoubtedly like to have back, he was strong overall, and he got the most important thing of all, which was the victory.
