Only one touchdown has been scored by the Houston Texans offense in each of their last two games, indicating that their offensive performance has not been up to pace thus far in the early portion of the season.
Because of this, the Texans have been subjected to criticism, including that of offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik, who was one of the coaches that broke through in the league in the previous season. On the other hand, quarterback C.J. Stroud recently participated in a press conference in which he defended Slowik.
“We all have faith in him, and we know that he is trying to put us in the best positions and we have to buy in to the system just as much as he has to call good plays,” Stroud stated in reference to Slowik. “I have the utmost faith in Slowik, and he has been great, but we have to buy into the system just as much as he has to call great plays. I have complete faith in him.
” As we are all mature men, we are aware that we are obligated to perform our duties. The fact that we are going to continue to hold each other accountable and have each other’s back is something that we all discuss. We are going to continue to have each other’s back.
It is important to note that Stroud is demonstrating his leadership skills by defending his team as the face of the franchise. This is a significant factor in determining how well teams perform on Sundays.
In their second season together, Stroud and Slowik need to be on the same page and adjust to the looks that teams are giving them because they formed such a great relationship so quickly during the previous season. Teams are also getting better prepared for them, so it is important that they are both on the same page.
