The Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison was taken into custody by the California Highway Patrol on suspicion of driving under the influence at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday, according to Sunday night’s report from the California Highway Patrol.

An ESPN investigation of a police record indicates that an officer in West Los Angeles discovered a white Rolls Royce impeding traffic on I-105 from the westbound direction to the northbound Sepulveda Boulevard. The motorist, who was later named Addison, was allegedly dozing off while driving, as stated in the report. The arrest of Addison occurred at 11:36 p.m. PT after a DUI investigation. His release from jail was announced at 1:36 a.m. on Saturday.

The BAC results of Addison have remained confidential according to the police. In the Golden State, 0.08% is the limit. In a statement, the Vikings acknowledged the arrest of Jordan Addison on Friday and stated that they are still gathering additional information about the event. In 2022, Addison represented USC in his last collegiate season. He was in Los Angeles last week for the launch of the Netflix series “Receiver,” which stars Justin Jefferson, a colleague of his from the Vikings.

This is Addison’s second traffic-related violation since the 2023 selection, when the Vikings took him with the 23rd overall pick. He received a citation in July 2023 for exceeding the speed limit in Minnesota while traveling on a freeway. A reckless driving prosecution was dropped after he consented to plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge of speeding. His fine payment was $686.

His suspicion of driving under the influence led to his arrest five days after a car accident in Maryland killed three people, including rookie cornerback Khyree Jackson of the Vikings. While the investigation is ongoing, no charges have been made by the Maryland State Police, who have stated that they believe alcohol might have played a role.

Wes Phillips, offensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings, was pulled over in December and his BAC was determined to be 0.10. After being charged with an amended misdemeanor reckless driving, Phillips paid a fine of $378 and entered a guilty plea. The Vikings responded with a three-week punishment that Phillips had to serve without pay this past spring. Training camp for the Vikings rookies begins on July 21. September 23 is the date that veterans are required to report.
