Nothing came easily in this matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys, as is typical in such games. Even though they should have been unbeatable the whole way through, the Birds made things difficult for themselves.
On the opening play of the second quarter, Jalen Hurts found a former teammate, breaking his streak of games without a turnover. One catch, though: that guy is now a part of the other team in the division.
The avians would recover. After what appeared to be a promising drive by the Cowboys, the ball was recovered by the Philadelphia offense after a fumble by Ezekiel Elliott. The meeting regarding ball security may have slipped Zeke’s mind. Perhaps one would be a good fit for Jalen Hurts.
The Cowboys found themselves in a first-and-goal situation three plays after his second turnover of the game, which was caused by a strip pass from Micah Parsons. Even though the defense saved them in the end, they had a stranglehold on the game in the first half until Jalen’s interception. We give thanks to God for the Eagles’ last drive of the first half and for the changes made in the second half.
The Eagles’ Saquon Barkley and the Cowboys’ Tony Romo both vanquish curses.
Saquon Barkley, the top tailback for the Philadelphia Eagles, suffered a forearm injury while trying to recover after a fumble by Jalen Hurts. He observed the Eagles’ last drive from the sideline despite being taped by the medical personnel.
Rest assured. The two-minute offensive is one that Philadelphia like using with Kenneth Gainwell at tailback. The only thing the Birds needed to add seven points to the scoreboard was seven plays and one and a quarter seconds off the clock.
Here is where Jalen Hurts meets Dallas Goedert. Great news, too! Philly almost trailed us into the locker room for a while there.
After halftime, Philadelphia maintained their momentum and scored 17 more points in the next two quarters. A few defensive snaps were even taken by Oren Burks. That ended Philadelphia’s losing streak in Arlington at six games.
Seriously, Saquon Barkley was able to pull off an unprecedented feat in his professional career because to this game. He finally beat the Dallas Cowboys! Although Saquon has 581 yards on 120 rushes, 288 yards on 44 receptions, and three touchdowns in his career versus Dallas, he had gone winless in ten prior games against the Cowboys coming into Week 10’s bout.
He had a memorable first game in Arlington as an Eagle, gaining 24 yards on seven carries and 12 more from receptions.
