Kendall Lamm, a lineman with the Miami Dolphins, resorted to social media to explain his circumstances after being placed on injured reserve.

Lamm began his Instagram post by stating that he’s the kind of person who always prefers to get information directly from the source. He then went on to explain that he was placed on injured reserve due to a back issue that would require surgery.

“It’s been among the more trying things that I’ve had to deal with,” Lamm stated. “My entire left side feels numb because of a disc in my back and left side that is protruding into a nerve. Trying to fall asleep at night has been one of the most difficult things. Trying to walk, even on the Sunday morning before the game, has been one of the more difficult things. I felt like I could hardly feel some things in my left side. Naturally, though, we try our best to support the squad, and I know we wanted to qualify for the playoffs because I love playing. I try because it’s a sacred thing.
