BREAKING: Jaylen Waddle Re-signs Dolphins, Commits to finish career in Miam….SEE MORE

The Miami Dolphins are planning to make additional cuts to their offence the day after they waived veteran wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

On Friday, the 32-year-old Beckham and his organization agreed to a mutual separation, and the player was released. In nine games played for the Dolphins, Beckham failed to establish a regular offensive role, catching a total of nine passes for 55 yards and zero touchdowns.

On Friday, when reporters wanted to know more about the change, Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel kept the conversation focused on the team’s next game against the Houston Texans.
Veteran quarterback Skylar Thompson was let go by the Dolphins on Saturday, marking yet another loss for the team. The Dolphins released Thompson, according to NFL Network source Tom Pelissero.

“No, no regrets,” McDaniel responded when asked about his decision to sign Beckham this year. “My only regrets are that we’re not talking more about the Texans.”
While Tua Tagovailoa and Tyler Huntley were out with injuries, Thompson started one game and completed 21 of 33 passes for 187 yards.

The Dolphins selected Thomson in the seventh round of the 2022 draft, and he started in relief of an injured Tagovailoa for two games that year. Additionally, he was pressed into service as the team’s starting quarterback in the postseason game against the Buffalo Bills in the wild-card round. Despite his best efforts, the Dolphins were defeated 34-31.
