Just about to finish is the 2024 National Football League regular season.

Ex-Eagles $128 Million Pro Bowler Predicted To Sign With Steelers

Before some teams advance to the playoffs and others head home, there is just one more week of games. Thankfully, the Philadelphia Eagles will be among the teams advancing to the playoffs.

The Eagles have been outstanding enough this season to spare Week 18 from any concern. Resting starters in the last regular season game of the campaign, Philadelphia will be the NFC’s second seed in the playoffs.

The Kansas Cit Chiefs are another team resting starts. Kansas City is resting starters including Patrick Mahomes since they have the first seed in the AFC for the playoffs. Former Eagles Pro Bowler Carson Wentz will thus have an opportunity to demonstrate his abilities.

Since he will enter free agency once the season finishes, he will play in lieu of Mahomes and might benefit from this. Wentz once was among the most thrilling quarterbacks in the league; he even signed a four-year, $128 million contract with Philadelphia.

Though he is not at that level anymore, it would not be surprising to see him get a fresh contract this summer given the Chiefs’ performance. Cody Benjamin of CBS Sports foresaw Russell Wilson’s backup signing a contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers over the 2018 offseason.

“Carson Wentz signs with the Steelers as Russell Wilson’s new backup,” Benjamin remarked. Though it’s too early to know, the Steelers will be a team searching for at least one quarterback during next offseason. Perhaps Wentz could be a choice.
