BREAKING: Buffalo Bills WR announces resignation after Sean McDermott decision to…
It would appear that Josh Allen, the standout quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, is suffering from the aches and pains of an NFL regular season.
After taking a helmet to the hand, Allen continued to play in Sunday’s 24-21 thriller victory over the New England Patriots. After the game, he addressed the media and said that he had tossed the football without feeling his right hand because he had lost feeling in that hand. Before the sensation came again, Allen made sure it lasted for at least five to ten minutes.
Allen completed 154 of 155 pass attempts, added 30 rush yards for a score, and threw one interception despite suffering a broken hand. His quarterback rating was 67.3, and he only completed passes on 55% of his attempts.
The Bills still have a lot riding on their final two games of the regular season. They trail the Kansas City Chiefs by two games but are still in the hunt for the top seed. With 37 touchdowns and only six interceptions on the season, Allen is also very much in the running for NFL MVP.
With his injury, the Bills and Allen must decide if it is worth it to play in the next two games against the Patriots and the New York Jets.
His season-long struggle with a fractured left hand was already announced earlier on Sunday. The tenacity and resilience he displays has won over many, but a bad hit might ruin Buffalo’s finest season in the past twenty to thirty years.
