Despite losing the match, Steffi stayed positive and joked that she was taken off guard by the proposal. According to what she told the New York Times, she plans to file for a divorce after realizing she lost the game.

Even though it happened five years before her actual marriage to fellow tennis great and Olympic gold winner Andre Agassi, Steffi’s hilarious reply will live on in perpetuity. Although they were introduced at Wimbledon in 1992, they did not begin dating until 1999.

Andre and Steffi were married in a small, intimate ceremony in their home by 2001. In October of that year, Jaden Gil Agassi was born to the couple, and by 2003, Jaz Elle Agassi had joined them.
