In preparation for the first game of the season, which will take place tonight at TD Garden against the Montreal Canadiens, the Bruins have made numerous different lineup adjustments.

“Urgency, maneuvering quickly, and prevailing in conflicts. Those are the three areas in which we need to make significant progress from Game 1, according to Jim Montgomery, the head coach of the Boston Bruins, who spoke on Thursday morning at Warrior Ice Arena. “The year is just getting started. Both getting guys in the lineup and getting them used to the speed of the game are things that we want to do. The guys that are coming out are not going to be affected by this in any way. During the last game, the entire team was weak. It’s nothing more than a chance to get two males in the door.

Within the third defense pairing, Parker Wotherspoon will take over for Mason Lohrei, while Riley Tufte will take over for Max Jones on the third line.
