Breaking News: Jordan love, the QB for the Green Bay Packers, has reportedly secured a massive $35 million deal with…..
A top-tier off-the-field linebacker and ideal cornerback. Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur has ruled out Jaire Alexander and Edgerrin Cooper for Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers. The Packers will need to find a way to win despite these two absences. Since Brock Purdy and Nick Bosa are out with injuries, the opposite side is also feeling the effects.
Cornerback Jaire Alexander will sit out Sunday’s game against the 49ers due to a knee injury. Although Alexander has not yet considered placing him on injured reserve, LaFleur said on Friday that he will miss this week’s games after revealing he has a torn PCL.
In the first game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Alexander suffered an injury. After a bye week of practicing, he returned stronger than before, missing the game against the Detroit Lions. But after making matters worse against the Chicago Bears, he skipped practice all week, so it was clear he wouldn’t be ready to play against the 49ers.
Two games in 2024 were missed by Jaire Alexander due to a groin injury he had earlier in the season, and the Lions game was missed due to a knee injury.
The Packers are projected to start Carrington Valentine and Keisean Nixon versus the 49ers in Jaire’s absence. Risk protection Playing in the spot will be Javon Bullard. On the 53-man roster, you may also find Robert Rochell, Corey Ballentine, and Eric Stokes at cornerback. The practice squad features rookies Kalen King and Kamal Hadden.
Rookie Edgerrin Cooper will not be participating in Thursday’s game due to a hamstring injury he sustained during practice on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday were not practice days for him. Week 13, with only one week until the Thanksgiving game against the Miami Dolphins, is another week in which LaFleur expressed worry over Cooper’s availability.
Aside from rookie Ty’Ron Hopper, the Packers have Quay Walker, Isaiah McDuffie, and Eric Wilson as their off-ball linebacker options. The practice squad includes Jamin Davis, a former first-round selection.
Shoulder of Colby Wooden
Due to a shoulder injury, defensive lineman Colby Wooden did not participate in the game against the Detroit Lions. On Wednesday and Thursday, he did some light practicing, but on Friday, he gave it his all. His status as a doubtful play has been formally updated.
