Tragic wrong-way crash claims one life and leaves two Police officers critically wounded in Ontario……


After a man was killed in a collision involving three vehicles on Highway 401 near Pickering, the police are conducting an investigation.

It was just after five o’clock in the morning when the accident took place, according to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), in the westbound lanes of the highway at Brock Road. One of the cars was traveling eastward in the westbound lanes when it crashed head-on with another vehicle.

The accident included three vehicles, and one of the cars was involved in the collision. “He was taken to a trauma center, and at this time, he has minor injuries that are not life-threatening,” said Constable Alex Li. “He is currently in critical condition.” “The Ontario Provincial Police are conducting an investigation into this incident.”

Constable Kerry Schmidt of the Ontario Provincial Police stated that a male driver from Whitby, who was 25 years old, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving dangerously, and refusing to produce a breath sample that resulted in death and bodily harm.

According to the bail hearing, he is still being held in custody. A man who was 55 years old was pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident, and a motorist who was 28 years old and from Ajax sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.

As a result of the inquiry, the highway’s westbound lanes were restricted near Brock Road for the most of the day.
