BREAKING: Jordan Love Re-Signs Packers, Commits to Finish Career in Green ba…See more

By all criteria, their season is in good shape. They score 9-4. Regarding making the playoffs, they are in rather excellent shape.

But this season is not like previous one.

Simply making the playoffs was deemed successful when Jordan Love, the starting quarterback for the squad, was taking first shots.

Everything that transpired following that was bonus.

This year was unlike others. This squad was meant to make a Super Bowl run.

The Packers most certainly will have to be road warriors on their way to New Orleans if they are to do that.

With four games remaining, they three games behind the division leading Lions. As a result of sweeping the Packers through the regular season, the Lions also have the head-to–head tiebreaker.

One would consider a dismal end to the season to be making the playoffs and losing in the Divisional Round.

To get over the hill and into the Super Bowl, the Packers might use five possible adjustments here.

Eric Stokes
Simply said, it is not happening for Eric Stokes.

During his first season, the first round selection appeared to be a dynamic player across from Jaire Alexander.

In his second year he performed poorly and missed the rest of the season with a complex fracture.

Stokes returned in 2023, but had more time on injured reserve (2) than he had pass breaks since his rookie season (0).

Stokes battled mightily this year. He has never really lost his job, however he has rotated with Carrington Valentine.

Thursday night Tim Patrick, a reserve receiver for Lions, severely beat him for a touchdown.

Stokes simply lacks the speed and explosiveness he showed as a rookie.

Over the past two seasons, the passer rating against him has been over 100 every targeted year.

Stokes has to establish himself as a regular on the bench with the possible returns of Jaire Alexander and Corey Ballentine.

Protestant Watson
This season Christian Watson is averaging more than twenty yards-per-reception.

Yes, some of the errors and inconsistencies may be rather frustrating.

The truth is Watson is the most explosive offensive playmaker on the squad.

Watson just has one drop this season, despite a reputation he suffers with drops.

Watson’s first fumble of his career came here.

With a 59-yard reception on Green Bay’s opening second half series, he also turned the tide for the team.

He is releasing himself.

Maybe the Packers do not believe they own a top class receiver. That’s OK. They do, however, have someone underused who is really explosive.

Watson’s increasing chances to influence the game would benefit Green Bay’s passing attack.

Rajden Reed
About explosive weaponry. Jayden Reed is at where?

Since arriving in Green Bay last year, Reed has been among the most explosive weapons available to the island.

Still, on Thursday night Dontayvion Wicks out-snapped him.

The injury report makes no reference of Reed, hence there is no indication of his fighting an injury.

With drops, he has battled all season, compiling another on his sole target in Thursday’s loss to Detroit.By most standards, their season is in good shape. They score 9-4. Regarding making the playoffs, they are in rather excellent shape.
