Reports: Fans in celebration as Noles reunites and brings back former top star in a blockbuster move….[Details in Post]
Following last week’s victory over Navy, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish utterly dominated Saturday’s game against Florida State, winning 52-3. Prior to their match against Navy, the program had already beaten Georgia Tech, with Notre Dame quarterback Riley Leonard spearheading the offense. Head coach Marcus Freeman expressed his appreciation to the team.
Both the offense and defense of the Fighting Irish were outstanding in their matchup with the Seminoles. The offense appeared unbeatable in the first quarter, while the defense limited the Seminoles to a field goal. According to ESPN, Freeman would express his “proud” feelings about Notre Dame and their preparation for the game and the season following the game.
In his remarks, Freeman expressed his pride in the group. They should be proud of how they got ready. It would have been simple to disregard those guys’ preparation levels due to their record, but watching the footage makes it clear that you’re up against a talented squad.
The gang is very experienced, Freeman remarked. To this day, I still hold the firm belief that Saturday is a reflection of preparation, and that our senior class is diligently preparing for what is ahead. They are playing with the correct mindset and are making a real impact.
Tragic season for Florida State continues
The Florida State football team, on the other hand, has had a rough season thus far, with just one victory—against the University of California on September 21—to show for it. Following the humiliating loss to the Fighting Irish, head coach Mike Norvell would vent his frustration.
“Everyone is let down,” Norvell stated. Our expectations were not met by this outcome. None of this is representative of the program we envision for the future. Throughout, the men fought. The accomplishments of the adversary deserve praise. It’s been a disappointing season full with disappointing results, but we still get to decide how we’ll end it: work hard and improve.
