You can always expect a high-energy showdown when those two superstar signal-callers go head-to-head, and the most recent edition was no exception. Burrow completed 42 percent of his passes for 428 yards and four scores, while committing no turnovers.

With his own passing stats, Jackson finished with 290 yards and four touchdowns. Furthermore, the final score is the most crucial statistic, and Jackson’s Ravens won the game by a score of 35-34. Jackson and the Ravens were narrowly defeated by Burrow’s Bengals for the second time this season. In October, they also won in overtime, 41-38.

Respect for Joe Burrow is evident from Lamar Jackson.
There is obviously a lot of mutual respect between Burrow and Jackson because after the game, Jackson had some nice things to say about him.

“I just know that’s a great quarterback over there,” Jackson remarked about playing Burrow and the Bengals. “I just know it’s going to be a dogfight regardless, because he got dog in him.”

The quarterback rivalry has been very one-sided, despite Burrow’s best attempts. On six occasions during the regular season, Jackson has prevailed over his opponent. In the 2022 playoff Wild Card Round, Burrow and the Bengals defeated the Ravens without Jackson due to an injury. In a career versus Cincinnati, Jackson is 10-2.

Burrow will have to wait until next season to get another chance to get revenge on Jackson and the Ravens, unless their paths cross in the playoffs this year—an unlikely occurrence given Cincinnati’s present position.
