Fans in shock as Colts place 2 two key player on reserve/non-football illness
Colts have ruled out a key starter for the game against the Lions and are considering the status of another player.
Head coach Shane Steichen has declared that Bernhard Raimann, the starting left tackle for the Indianapolis Colts, will not be playing in this Sunday’s match against the Detroit Lions due to a knee injury.
Additionally, it is worth mentioning that Tyquan Lewis, a defensive end who is currently on the Injured Reserve list due to an elbow injury, made his return to practice this week. However, the Colts have not confirmed his readiness to play just yet. Steichen informed the press that the team is currently engaged in deliberations regarding Lewis’ situation for the week, highlighting that he displayed impressive form during practice sessions.
Raimann has now been absent from two games in a row due to his knee injury. He was absent from the Week 9 competition due to a concussion. The newcomer Matt Goncalves is set to step in for Raimann once more this week, and he has delivered satisfactory performances in the four games he has played. At this moment, he holds the seventh position among rookie offensive linemen according to Pro Football Focus, boasting a score of 64.2. Additionally, he excels as the fourth most effective run blocker with a remarkable grade of 71.8.
Lewis has been absent from the team ever since he hurt his elbow during the Colts’ victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4. Hasta ese momento, había participado en los cuatro juegos, sumando 17 tacleadas (2 de ellas para pérdida de yardas), 1.5 capturas de mariscal y 3 golpes al mariscal. Dayo Odeyingbo and Laiatu Latu have taken over Lewis’ spot in the lineup as the main replacements.
This Sunday at 1:00 p.m., the Colts will welcome the Lions to Lucas Oil Stadium for a thrilling match broadcasted on FOX.
