Two Sox players might be wearing different jerseys in 2025, according to MLBTradeRumors’ list of the 35 players deemed “most likely” to be traded this winter, which was posted on Thursday.

The player most likely to be traded in this league is left-handed pitcher Garrett Crochet, while outfielder Luis Robert Jr. was ranked 34th.

This is what the publication had to say about Crochet:

The situation is clear. For most of the summer, Crochet was the most talked-about trade candidate. He ultimately decided to remain in Chicago after rumors circulated that he wanted an extension to pitch in the playoffs and was determined to continue starting even after being traded. Since being selected with the eleventh overall pick in the 2020 draft, Crochet has been a prominent arm, although he has struggled with injuries.

As a starter for the first time, Crochet had a 6-12 record with a 3.58 earned run average. His stuff is top-notch, but the White Sox’s bad play is to blame for the losses. In just 146.0 innings, he managed to strike out 209 batters and earn a spot in the All-Star Game. Crochet is affordable and under contract until 2026, giving the squad a lot of power.

Robert Jr., who is 27 years old, is available till 2027 and comes with control and cost. Though he hit.224 with 14 home runs last year, he’s coming off a slump. Injuries limited him to just 100 games.

He made it to the All-Star Game and finished 12th in MVP voting in 2023, a fantastic year for him. His abilities are enticing.
