Legendary NFL Partnership : Hopkins Claims Historic Duo with Mahomes
This week’s Monday Night Football was DeAndre Hopkins’ first significant game with the Kansas City Chiefs. A week before Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline, the seasoned wide receiver grabbed eight catches for 86 yards and two scores.
Now that he has had time to adjust to Andy Reid’s scheme, he looked like a guy who may be crucial to the Chiefs winning their third consecutive Super Bowl and was vital in KC’s attempts to remain unbeaten.
At the very least, Hopkins is thrilled about his new relationship with Mahomes. The wide receiver shared an image that boldly compared their new collaboration to that of Randy Moss and Tom Brady. significantly higher altitudes than previously possible because of a shift in the landscape.
The football community believed that Moss’ finest days were over, thus the New England Patriots paid a low price to get him before the 2007 season. That clearly wasn’t the case, as Moss was the best option in the league’s greatest offense up until that time and would go on to establish an NFL record for the most receiving touchdowns in a season.
Although Hopkins was signed a little too late to have the same statistical impact as Moss, it is obvious that he thinks he can contribute to the Chiefs’ offensive on an equal basis. and hopes that this tale has a happier ending than Brady and Moss’s, who were never able to win a ring together
