Despite the fact that the Saints are currently 2-6, New Orleans was able to shine through the first few weeks of the season. However, injuries managed to utterly ruin the season. It appears as though their season may be coming to an end; hence, it could be a good idea to move high-priced players before the deadline on November 5th.

There is a possibility that the Saints are looking to sell, and the Eagles should most definitely be purchasing. Chase Young, a star player for the Saints, was suggested as a potential candidate by Glenn Erby of USA Today. Philadelphia is in need of a boost on the edge.

“New Orleans is projected to be over the cap by $72.8 million for next season,” Erby stated in an interview. Even though Young is only 25 years old, he continues to be an effective pass rusher because of his age. He has already accumulated 30 pressures and 12 defensive stops so far this season, as reported by Pro Football Focus. In addition, he has generated 30 pressures.

“Philadelphia has Nolan Smith ascending and Bryce Huff under contract, but we’ll need reinforcements when Brandon Graham departs, and potentially Josh Sweat.”

Young was selected for the Pro Bowl on one occasion and was honored as the National Football League Defensive Rookie of the Year for the 2020 season. During the current season, he has a one-year deal worth $13 million and has a total of two sacks in eight games. If the Eagles are interested in adding another talented pass rusher to their roster, Young should be evaluated.

In spite of the fact that a trade would not likely cost Philadelphia a great deal of money, it could be the deciding factor in the game.
