It has come to light that the Atlanta Falcons are among the teams looking to add pass rushers to their roster before the NFL trade deadline on November 5.  Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports that Atlanta is “keeping an eye” on Azeez Ojulari, an edge rusher for the New York Giants.

Ojulari has been a beast this season, racking up six sacks and seven quarterback hits in just eight games. So far this season, the Atlanta Falcons have recorded six sacks across eight games. In three games this season, the 24-year-old has started and has a total of 24 tackles, including six for loss.

Ojulari, a native of Austell, Georgia, and a graduate of the University of Georgia, would be an asset to the Falcons’ NFL-worst pass rush if he were to return to his home state. Atlanta is reportedly considering (and probably will implement) an upgrade to the unit, according to Russini.

General Manager Terry Fontenot is aware that the Falcons require assistance. Russini predicted that they will take action, so it is not surprising that they are considering their alternatives. Bleacher story NFL source James Palmer claimed earlier this week that the Falcons are examining possibilities to help their pass rush, and Russini’s story supports that.

It wouldn’t shock Palmer if Atlanta won the edge. They are aware of their current situation, so they are out shopping for another piece. While you continue to watch the edge rushers, keep an eye on them. They took one action prior to the season beginning. “It would not shock me if they proceeded to make another.”

The solution could lie with Ojulari, whose interest in the league is on the rise, as reported by Jeremy Fowler of ESPN. Ojulari is gaining value since fewer teams are prepared to pay the high price for other defensive ends like Za’Darius Smith of the Cleveland Browns.

The name of Giants pass rusher Azeez Ojulari has been circulating a lot recently, according to Fowler. “By Tuesday, teams that were considering him as a fringe option may have changed their minds. “Whoever pulls the trigger might be the Falcons.
