Every week, Brady teams up with play-by-play broadcaster Kevin Burkhardt to call Fox Sports’ top game. So far in the first seven weeks of the 2024 NFL season, the games that Brady has called haven’t really been edge-of-your-seat thrillers.

I’ve played a total of seven games so far. Brady mentioned on the Let’s Go! podcast this week that he’s experienced six blowouts, with the home team managing to win just one game. “I’m really looking forward to the day when my home team is in a tight game and the energy in the stadium is just electric!”

Brady kicked off his broadcasting journey by calling the Dallas Cowboys’ first three games this season. He then talked about the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ big win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 4, and the Arizona Cardinals’ surprising 24–23 victory against the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium in Week 5. Over the last couple of weeks, Brady took to the mic while the Cowboys and 49ers faced tough losses against the Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs, respectively.

Brady has only announced two games that were decided by just one possession. So, one of those games—the Cowboys’ 28–25 loss to the Ravens in Week 3—wasn’t really as close as the score makes it seem. Dallas was down 28–6 but managed to cut the gap to just three points late in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately, they never got the opportunity to tie it up or take the lead.

Brady keeps saying he’s really enjoying the new gig.

“I’ve had such a great time sitting here and watching these games from the 50-yard line,” Brady shared. “I really wish I could be out on the field playing instead, because it’s way more fun down there. …” It’s really cool to just watch from above and see how these guys are doing their thing.

Brady’s making his return to the booth in Week 8 for the Seattle Seahawks’ matchup with the Buffalo Bills at Lumen Field. He’s really looking forward to that game being an exciting ride from start to finish while he hones his broadcasting skills.
