Bruce Bochy, the manager of the Texas Rangers, is somewhat relieved that Shohei Ohtani is now in the National League.

Ohtani, who began his Major League career with the Los Angeles Angels, would, based on the schedule, play 14 to 19 games against the Rangers annually. However, in the winter, he inked a huge $700 million deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers. That implies he only plays in three games a year for the Rangers.

However, that doesn’t mean Bochy and guys on the Rangers, including Corey Seager, aren’t aware of Ohtani’s incredible feats with the Dodgers.

Ohtani made Major League history on Thursday by becoming the first player to ever hit 50 home runs and steal 50 bases in one season. Earlier in the season, Texas travelled to Los Angeles to play the Dodgers. In 2025, Los Angeles will visit Texas; the dates of that series are April 18–20. Ohtani will undoubtedly sell out Globe Life Field.
