Just In: Controversy erupts as Paramatta Eels’ star angrily announces resignation and departure following ill…..

As Wests Tigers trounced Parramatta 30-18 Friday night, NRL speedster Brent Naden suffered another cruel injury blow when his left knee twisted in terrible way. After three Eels defenders tackled him, the 29-year-old Tigers centre was helped from Leichhardt Oval during the first half following a terrible knee injury.

Highly respected sports physiotherapist Brien Seeney posted a negative critique on social media. “See clear patella (kneecap) dislocation but danger for additional ligament injury (MCL/ACL) with traumatic nature of collision. ” Lengthy recovery ahead, fingers crossed it’s somehow not as bad as it looks.”

Although no pressure was placed to Naden’s left leg, he was helped off walking rather than a stretcher taken onto the field. Haunted mostly with shoulder issues, the former Panther and Bulldog has only played ten NRL games in a season over the past five years and is not contracted beyond 2025.

Former NSW State of Origin representative Jack Bird debuted for the Tigers on Friday night along with Terrell May and Royce Hunt. After being dismissed by the Bulldogs, Josh Addo-Carr had his first match in Eels colors; former Dragon Zac Lomax also wore blue and gold.

May left Storm and Roosters legendary Cooper Cronk singing his praises after producing 17 runs for 147 run meters including 70 post-contact. “He looked very fit, again taking back-to–back carries and doing a bit of the hard work the Tigers have probably missed over the last few years,” Cronk remarked on the Fox League coverage.

For Nine’s 2025 NRL top 50, the Penrith Panthers’ 2024 grand final team offered a shockingly EIGHT players.

“I enjoy his statement made tonight. He came out to be that forward leader; he was muscular, aggressive, long-minute player; I believe Terrell May will be quite valuable for the Tigers moving up the ladder for the rest of the year. The Tigers’ dilemma is whether this guy, Terrell May, can remain fit and healthy, play extended minutes and truly sure up the middle portion of the field.

May’s front-row buddy Fonua Pole notched up 18 runs for 177 run meters.

Round one will see the Tigers facing the Knights in Campbelltown; Parramatta will play Manly in Brookvale.
