BREAKING: Cincinnati Be RB announces resignation after Zac Taylor decision to…
The Cincinnati Bengals’ offensive line saw Joe Burrow’s distinctive talents earlier this week, and heads turned. Burrow detailed the inspiration behind the idea on Sunday.
Genuine Japanese Katana swords from the 1600s were presented to the entire Bengals O-line by Burrow. Legend has it that each sword had its own backstory, detailing the town or conflict from where it originated.
A journalist questioned Burrow on the reasoning behind his unusual present choice. It was a less risky option than what his Bengals colleagues preferred, the great player confessed.
“Arms, that is what they desired. “Guys, I’m not sure about guns,” I said. In his tone, Burrow expressed his concern that receiving firearms as presents would convey the incorrect impression. “And thus, I was thinking about weapons and asking myself, ‘What is a cool weapon?'” In my opinion, samurai swords are very awesome. The men were genuinely thrilled about it.
As gifts, Samurai swords are really awesome, and it’s hard to disagree with Burrow on that. Considering he has an actual Batmobile and goes by the moniker “Joe Cool,” maybe it’s no surprise.
Though he refrained from disclosing the exact cost of each Katana, the Bengals quarterback did claim to have acquired “the best ones out there.” With the huge contract extension he received from the Bengals last year, Burrow could certainly afford to splurge on swords.
