ESPN: Pittsburgh Steelers LB announces resignation after Mike Tomlin decision to…..

In spite of the disappointment caused by their loss in Philadelphia, the Pittsburgh Steelers can look at the bright side of the situation.

Steelers Still Clinch Playoff Berth Despite Loss to Eagles
A postseason berth was secured by the Pittsburgh Steelers as a result of the Indianapolis Colts’ loss against Denver by a score of 31-13. Moreover, the Miami Dolphins’ prior defeat at the hands of Houston was beneficial.

In the midst of that defeat for the Colts, Jonathan Taylor’s touchdown on the ground, which was scored from 41 yards out, was nullified after he dropped the ball just short of the goal border. When it came to the second half of that decision, Indianapolis was defeated by a score of 24-0.

The Indianapolis Colts finished the season with a record of 6-8, and they also handed the Houston Texans the championship of the AFC South division. AFC clubs that are guaranteed to make it to the postseason include the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Houston Texans, as well as the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs, who each won their respective divisions.

The Steelers (10-4) had the opportunity to secure a position in the playoffs by defeating the Eagles; but, the job of winning in Philadelphia was just as difficult as it had been the previous ten times that Pittsburgh traveled there. Since the Steelers’ most recent victory in Philadelphia, the Eagles have moved their games to two other stadiums.

As of right now, the Steelers are focusing their attention on Baltimore (9-5), whom they will travel to on Saturday. A month ago, Pittsburgh defeated the Ravens, which contributed to the team’s ascent to the top spot in the AFC North. Following Baltimore’s victory over the New York Giants by a score of 35-14, the Steelers’ one-game lead in the standings was reduced to one game. In that particular game, Lamar Jackson recorded a greater number of passing touchdowns (5) than he did incompletions (4).

Obviously, the outcome of the matchup that will take place the following week will play a significant role in determining the postseason placement for Pittsburgh. In the postseason, the Steelers have not played a game at their home stadium since the year 2020. The last time they triumphed in a postseason game at Acrisure Stadium was in 2016, when they defeated Miami by a score of 30-12.
