“This is the end of me” Cincinnati Bengals’ Joe Burrow says in tears as he announces……

In Week 15, the Cincinnati Bengals pulled off a 37-27 victory over the Tennessee Titans to momentarily preserve their chances for a playoff. Although they came out on top, Cincinnati’s game was not the neatest. The Bengals totaled four turnovers—three by standout quarterback Joe Burrow—and fourteen penalties for 113 yards overall.

Late in the game during a Titans win over, Joe Burrow was pumped up chatting to Zac Taylor on the sideline.
Burrow was obviously dissatisfied with the team’s performance, at least on the offensive end, and he let head coach Zac Taylor know on the bench during a tense conversation that was caught on camera, notwithstanding the final result.

Burrow seemed to be merely expressing some frustration in the heat of the moment, not really offended with Taylor especially. Still, both men were questioned about the exchange following the game, and both minimized it as being a regular, if explosive, dialogue between quarterback and coach midway through a game.

“Just a conversation back and forward,” Taylor remarked.

“I was just annoyed on the day we had on offense,” Burrow said. “It was too messy. We had far too many penalties. Too many fines for procedures. I turned around too many times. On offense, it was merely an annoying day.

You thus have it. Both sides seemed ready to move on and offered what they had to say about the interaction. Not much more should be read into the matter. On NFL sidelines, such exchanges occur constantly; this one happened to be captured on camera.

If anything, it’s encouraging to see just how offended Burrow was, given the Bengals left with a victory. Burrow wants to see the club live up to its potential, personally included; he believes it can be better, particularly on offense.

The star quarterback is aware that he turned over too many passes against the Titans, thus he can try to get better going forward. He has, after all, been practically flawless in all other spheres thus far this season.

Next Saturday, Burrow and the Bengals will be back in action at the Cleveland Browns. The two teams will face again this season; the Bengals defeated the Browns, 21-14, back in Week 7.
