DONE DEAL: Anthony Richardson extends his commitment with the Indianapolis Colts for another five years with promises to…..
Center Ryan Kelly, a four-time All-Pro, and rookie linebacker Jaylon Carlies were both upgraded from questionable to out for Sunday’s game against the home Denver Broncos by the Indianapolis Colts.
Defense end Tyquan Lewis (rib) was also added to Saturday’s injury report by the Colts, who had him marked as questionable.
In preparation for their match against Denver (8-5), Indianapolis (6-7) activated guard Mark Glowinski off the practice squad and placed offensive tackle Braden Smith on the reserve/non-football illness list.
On Wednesday, the Colts began allowing Kelly, who had been placed on injured reserve due to a knee injury sustained on November 6, and Carlies, who had been placed on IR due to a fibula injury as well as a shoulder issue, to begin the 21-day practice window.
Kelly didn’t show up to much of practice this week, but Carlies gave it her all. Any time throughout that three-week period, you can activate any one.
After being taken by the Colts as the 18th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft out of Alabama, Kelly has spent the last nine years playing for the team. He has started every game, both regular season and postseason, throughout that time. In addition to being named to the Pro Bowl in 2019, 2020, and 2023, Kelly was also named to the All-Pro second team in 2020.
After being taken out of Missouri in the fifth round of the 2024 draft, Carlies has gone seven games (three starts) with 21 tackles and one sack.
Smith, who was previously benched, didn’t practice all week due to a personal issue. Since the Indianapolis Colts drafted him out of Auburn in the second round of the 2018 draft, he has started 92 of 94 games, including 12 this season.
The 32-year-old Glowinski started one game this season at right guard, a 25-24 victory against New England on December 1. In ten seasons with the Seahawks(2015–2017), Giants(2022-23), and Colts(2018–21, 2024), he has appeared in 125 games, starting 97 of them.
