ESPN Reports: Toronto Blue Jays Now #1 Destination To Land MLB’s Deadly Catcher In A Massive Blockbuster Deal!
After recruiting and signing right-handed Max Scherzer this offseason, the Toronto Blue Jays rocked the baseball scene. The Blue Jays had to show Scherzer that winning 2025 had top importance.

Toronto’s dedication to going back to the postseason surfaced in the sweepstakes for the three-time Cy Young champion.
“Based on the way the market turned out, Toronto fit me really well. After several talks with the front desk, I wanted to find out exactly where the team was headed. What do you see 2025 like? On Monday on the Foul Territory podcast, Scherzer clarified “They returned and said, ‘Hey, we’re in an all-in position. We will go for it. That was therefore rather like music to my ears.
“They became options for me when they signed [Anthony] Santander and demonstrated the dedication they have toward this year.”
Scherzer also mentioned that his talks gave top importance on keeping closer to his east coast family.
Blue Jays’ all-in position assisted land max Scherzer.
By signing Scherzer, the Blue Jays want to gain from his off-field as well as onfield skills. Having a season plagued by several ailments, Scherzer is now focused on recovering his complete health and getting back into top form.
“The back is the first thing you have to worry about me; but, I’ve been rather good with that and [I’m] physically feeling great because of it,” Scherzer said. “I should be walking out there starting my starts as long as that part is good. If I’m healthy and out there, I feel like I could still finish really highly.
Over 5 2/3 innings, Scherzer has struck out eight batters allowing two hits and two runs across two starts.
Chris Bassitt sees Scherzer enhancing Blue Jays.
Chris Bassitt commended Max Scherzer for his great worth to the Blue Jays, stressing his special ability to improve not just the starting rotation but the whole pitching staff. Speaking on the JD Bunkis Podcast in February, Bassitt highlighted Scherzer’s extraordinary game knowledge and preparation, traits that distinguishes him from most players.
“I think what he’s going to be able to bring to not just the starters, but also the pitching staff and the pitching coaches and things like that; his knowledge is going to truly, really help us.”
Of Scherzer’s preparation level, Bassitt remarked, “He has the ability to retain information at a level that I just don’t think most players could.” “I believe it would overwhelm most of the players if you provided most of them with the knowledge he possesses. Still, he can grasp the subtleties of any scenario.
Scherzer’s experience and preparation help the Blue Jays to not only acquire a seasoned pitcher but also a great mentor for the whole pitching team. The Blue Jays’ all-in approach may be the secret to catapulting them to fresh heights in the 2025 season as Scherzer works through spring training.
