Breaking: Alex Ovechkin Silences Doubters by Proving He Can Re….
Even though Alex Ovechkin is on the verge of becoming the all-time greatest goal-scorer in the National Hockey League (NHL), the Washington Capitals have not capitalized on his magnificence despite the fact that he has won one Stanley Cup Championship previously.

Adam Gretz of Bleacher Report believes that the front office will have failed Ovechkin if the Washington Capitals do not provide him with on-ice assistance with the goal of winning the championship at the trade deadline.
At this point in the season, the Washington Capitals are authoring a story that is quite remarkable. Not only is Alex Ovechkin on the verge of breaking Wayne Gretzky’s record for most goals scored in the history of the NHL, but they are also the greatest club in the Eastern Conference and one of the finest teams in the National Hockey League.
“They have completely transformed themselves from the mid-team that sneaked into the playoffs a year ago to a legitimate contender,” Gretz wrote. “They have done a complete 180.”
With Ovechkin still in the lineup and performing at this level, it is possible that they may not have many more opportunities like this in the future. Especially considering the large number of unrestricted free agents who will be available following this season.
The Washington Capitals have put in a lot of work to improve their performance this season; now they need to also put in a lot of work to win the championship.
The front office would be considered unsuccessful if they did not obtain an upgrade for the third-line center position, an upgrade for the bottom six, or if they did not do everything in their power to win another Stanley Cup for Ovechkin. over the course of the last few years, they have not had a great deal of those.
It is the first year that Chris Patrick has been the general manager of the Capitals, but if he fails Ovechkin in the same way that Brian MacLellan did after the team’s run to the championship in 2018, he will be remembered as the executive who blew the chance to win with one of the best forwards in the history of the sport to ever put on a pair of skates.
It is not a very effective way to develop a resume.
